Our three building, 50,000 sq. ft. machine works and metal fabricating facility

SMF is a complete machine works and metal fabricating facility occupying approximately 50,000 sq. ft. located at 18 Commerce Drive, Cartersville, Georgia. The company manufactures a broad range of close tolerance mechanical components for clients such as Ampacet Corp., Anheuser-Busch Corp., Trinity Rail Group, Ameristeel Co., Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co., J.M. Huber Corp., Georgia Power Co., ViaSat, Graham Packaging, Applied Thermoplastic Resources and Glad Manuf. Corp. Our engineers and technical personnel have the capabilities to convert engineering drawings to complete mechanical systems or we can assist in the design and engineering of custom machinery to suit specific requirements. The company enjoys a reputation for superior craftsmanship, quality products and on-time deliveries.

Started in 1977 and incorporated on July 31, 1978, the business is owned and operated by Michael D. Stephens. The organization consists of three mechanical engineers, shop manager, technical manager, and a core work force of 55 men including electricians, fabricators, iron workers, machinists, millwrights, pipe fitters, and welders.
